Hot Take: This song sucks! I remember talking about it a few months ago, specifically how the breakdown at 2:47 is very unfitting. If I did hear about Varsity FanClub through this song when it was released I would say they suck but that would be until I heard Zero that my thoughts on them had changed. A song like this would’ve worked if it was released 9-10.5 years earlier but no, it was released in 2008-09! By 2009 this type of song was considered outmoded cos you had South Korea’s one and only BigBang releasing a Japanese song called Gara Gara Go (I love that song) and fellow South Korean band, Highlight debuted as Beast in ‘09 with an electrohop dance-pop song titled "Bad Girls", produced by Shinsadong Tiger.
Why was it that guy groups in Korea and Japan (well, not ALL of them!) during this time were releasing songs I describe as "electropop swag" while ones in the west (in this case America) were releasing outmoded generic teen-bop shite like this (once again, not all of them)? I’m going too far I must stop but other than my verbose complaints Varsity FanClub should’ve released Zero as their first song not this as that would've fitted this era better. I didn’t feel like commenting this!
