This song is a brilliant composition that uses modern chord progressions. I like how it's different to archaic Chinese songs which are more traditional sounding. This one captures the music of the modern era, especially in the newer generations. I can tell it's inspired by romantic pop, cdrama, and jazz.

The lyrics are catchy and almost kpop-like, although it doesn't sound as superficial or 'scripted' like kpop lyrics. Instead, it feels like a sweet verse someone wrote during a romantic night, full of authenticity and emotion. For example, if I were to compare this song to Aespa's Thirsty, I would say both have similarities, especially in their chord progressions. Both have similar romantic chord progressions. However, Aespa's song doesn't hit the same emotional notes, because their lyrics are based on hype and popularity, whereas this song's lyrics are deeply personal, vulnerable, and authentic. Thus, this song is a breath of fresh air in terms of romantic pop music.
